I was talking to a fellow parent and a good friend the other day. My friend ran a tuition school for the past 10 years and has many years of experience dealing with children. Our conversation focused on the concept of Limitations and Beliefs…..; around the same time, I received this video clip The boy who sees without eyes via e-mail from another friend. I wonder how many parents out there would be so brave!

As Parents, we are perceived as a figure of authority by our children. We MUST consciously remind ourselves of our thoughts and vocabulary we use towards our younger charge. What we say and do can either help the child to grow in confidence and success; or our words and actions can work the opposite way.

Exploring, learning and improving oneself is an ongoing exercise, even for us as adults. The time when we stop learning and exploring is when we have set limitations to our beliefs and abilities.
